CONT - " BOO!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2009 - MOVIES"

Some of my favorite Halloween movies:

Coraline follows the life of the titular main character, a young girl named Coraline who moves with her rather neglectful parents to a new apartment in a crumbling mansion. Bored, she goes exploring and discovers a magic door in the wall, that leads to an alternate, parallel universe. In this universe, her mother and father give her everything she wants and everything seems perfect; everyone just has buttons for eyes. Slowly Coraline comes to realize this new world isn't all that it seems, and must escape before being trapped there forever.

Twelve-year-old DJ Walters has too much time on his hands. He gets it into his head that there's something weird about old man Nebbercracker's house across the street. Things keep disappearing into the dilapidated structure: basketballs, tricycles, toys and pets. Come to think of it, whatever happened to Mrs. Nebbercracker?

It's the day before Halloween and DJ and his candy-friendly pal Chowder have a run-in with Mr. Nebbercracker after their basketball wanders onto his lawn and is mysteriously swept into the house. When the house tries to swallow their new friend Jenny and no one believes the frightened trio's claims that the house is up to no good, it's up to them to investigate.

They turn for advice to Skull, a 20-something slacker/arcade machine master who once played a video game for four days straight on one single quarter, a gallon of chocolate milk and an adult diaper. Together they come up with what seems to be a foolproof plan to once again make the neighborhood safe for trick or treaters.

Victor Van Dort and Victoria Everglot are complete strangers, but their parents have arranged for the pair to be married. Each set of parents are more interested in the combined wealth of the two families, instead of how their children feel about the whole situation. Turns out that Victor and Victoria really hit it off - but Victor is so nervous that he kind of falls apart at the seams during the wedding rehearsal. He takes a walk to clear his head and while practicing his vows, Victor accidentally weds a corpse!.

Brilliant comedy/horror about a Gothic family and there daily life with dancing, sword fighting, bombs, thrills and more!

After Barbara and Adam Maitland are killed in a car crash, they find themselves trapped as ghosts in their beautiful New England farmhouse. Their peace is disrupted when a yuppie family, the Deetzs, buy their house. The Maitlands are too nice and harmless as ghosts and all their efforts to scare the Deetzs away are unsuccessful. They eventually turn to another ghost (Beetlejuice) for help...

'Ghost therapist' Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman) and his daughter Kat (Christina Ricci) arrive at drafty, old Whipstaff Manor. Its greedy owner, Carrigan Crittendon (Cathy Moriarty), has hired Dr. Harvey to exorcise the house's apparitions: a friendly but lonely young ghost named Casper, who's just looking for a friend, and his outrageous uncles Stretch, Stinkie and Fatso (The Ghostly Trio). If the plan works, she and Dibs (Eric Idle), her partner-in-slime, can get their hands on the manor's fabled treasure. Meanwhile, Casper has found a kindred spirit in Kat, but The Ghostly Trio will not tolerate 'fleshies' in their house.

I have seen all the movies...so sad betul, macam teda kerja lain. Coraline was the coolest because the DVD pack came with 3D glasses. You can imagine, me my husband and Nia sitting on the sofa with these silly looking 3D glasses in our faces! My other favourite is Casper. Watched it over and over when I was young. Love these movies!
Fely - Yes, Coraline, love it. Hahaha, same here. But, u know the quality from the 3D theater and the 3D DVD is not the same. Anyway, my kids don't care anyway (*_*).
